So when the other tech got there, the compressor was running but pressures where equal, so he thought it was a bad compressor. Like coldsnap said, you can usually tell from pressures, sh, sc, and you can know for sure bu looking at a performance chart. If the suction pressure wont come down or rises after u shut off the compressor theres a problem. I read the last guys invoice and he stated compressor has bad valves.
